FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Why a “Christian†business directory.
We acknowledge that there are several “Christian†business directories in Australia, most are localised with a small number of advertisers. This directory is designed to reach the entire nation and provide a resource for Christian in business to advertise their business. It is also designed to encourage Christians to utilise the many great Christian businesses available and therefore in a small way contribute to the health of the wider church body. We also want this directory to be a resource for people searching for business groups in their local area.
What is the reach of the directory.
As this is a solely online directory through the website, www.christianbusiness.com.au and through the App, available at the app store, www.apple.com?, the directory is available nationwide.
Due to the numbers of businesses, churches, schools and community organisations on the site/app, the directory is the largest Christian focused directory in Australia.
Who advertises on Christianbusiness.com.au
This directory is aimed at providing a resource for Christians in general to access businesses that are linked to a local church, or at least are associated with the Christian church. Therefore it is expected that most of the businesses on the directory will be owned, managed or have an employee who is a Christian. We acknowledge that there is no way that we can be 100% confident that all advertisers on the site would fulfil this requirement; however it is likely that a large percentage would.
How can I provide feedback
Feedback to businesses:
Similar to other directory sites, but unlike any Christian specific sites, there is the opportunity for customers of businesses to provide feedback. This allows customers to rate them if you have a good or bad experience or provide other customer generated information about the business. We would encourage customers to address any negative feedback with the business directly, before sending it to the site, as this gives the business an opportunity to rectify the issue and provide a solution. CBA retains the right to not “post†any feedback on the site, subject to the content and validity of that feedback. We will endeavour to contact the business to confirm that they have had the opportunity to address the feedback, if it is negative. If they have not been accorded the opportunity, then it is likely that the negative feedback will not be able to be viewed on the site.
Feedback to Christian Business:
If you have feedback relating to the operation of our site or app, or otherwise associated with factors that are within our control, please don’t hesitate to use the feedback form. Upon receipt we will make every effort to contact you within 24 hours. If you provide us with as much information including your contact details (ideally more than one contact) that will assist us in responding.
Security
Whatever you do on our site from searching for businesses , networking with other business people, purchasing advertising or just setting up a free business profile, you can rest easy knowing that this site is 100% secure as we use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology.
Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is a commonly-used protocol for managing the security of message transmissions over the Internet. SSL uses a program layer located between the Internet's Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) and Transport Control Protocol (TCP) layers.
Notice the “HTTPS†in the address bar above. It indicates that this site is locked down tight. You will also notice this on other secure sites such as banks. The "sockets" part of the term refers to the sockets method of passing data back and forth between a client and a server program in a network or between program layers in the same computer. SSL uses public-and-private key encryption systems which also includes the use of a digital certificate.
All of the above simply means that any communication on this site uses security protocols over the Internet to protect your details.
